How it is built

A four-dial resettable combination on a zinc alloy body with a longer 32 mm shackle clearance, which is what you need when the two pulls do not sit next to each other.

Suits these shells

Hard shell, polycarbonate
Flexes under load and springs back. Takes surface scuffing more than cracking.
Hard shell, ABS
Stiffer and more brittle than polycarbonate. Corners are the usual failure point.
Aluminium frame
A full cover fits badly over the frame lip. Corner and edge guards suit these better.
Soft side, fabric
Absorbs impact but scuffs and tears. Zippers and handles take the strain.
