How it is built

A privacy tag, a coloured handle wrap and a set of four elastic bands. The tag carries the details, the wrap and the bands do the work at a distance, and none of them require anything to be stuck to the case.

Suits these shells

Hard shell, polycarbonate
Flexes under load and springs back. Takes surface scuffing more than cracking.
Hard shell, ABS
Stiffer and more brittle than polycarbonate. Corners are the usual failure point.
Aluminium frame
A full cover fits badly over the frame lip. Corner and edge guards suit these better.
Soft side, fabric
Absorbs impact but scuffs and tears. Zippers and handles take the strain.
