How it is built

The 2 m single strap in saturated hazard orange webbing with a reflective stripe woven down the centre. Mechanically identical to the plain 2 m strap; the difference is that you can see it from the far side of the hall.

Suits these shells

Hard shell, polycarbonate: Flexes under load and springs back. Takes surface scuffing more than cracking.
Hard shell, ABS: Stiffer and more brittle than polycarbonate. Corners are the usual failure point.
Aluminium frame: A full cover fits badly over the frame lip. Corner and edge guards suit these better.
Soft side, fabric: Absorbs impact but scuffs and tears. Zippers and handles take the strain.
