How it is built
A large padded cover, the full guard kit, a compression fill pad and the strap with the integrated lock. Every additional leg is another set of hands and another belt, so this one covers the outside, the fittings, the inside gap and the closure at once.

Where those figures come from
- Foam layer thickness
- Measured on the panel centre of the finished cover with a dial thickness gauge at 1 N contact force, five points averaged per sample, three samples.
- Corner impact test
- Free fall from 1.0 m onto a rigid steel plate, case loaded to 15 kg, impact on the lower shell corner, five repeats per sample, three samples, conducted at 23 °C.
- Rated working load
- Straight pull on a 50 mm webbing sample at 23 °C on a bench tensile rig, three samples, the lowest value of the three reported. Rated working load, not breaking load.
- Lock body
- Shackle diameter and clearance measured with digital callipers on ten units from one production lot, the smallest clearance reported.
Fitting
Three steps, no tools.
- 01Clean and dry the area of the case the part sits on. Room temperature, indoors.
- 02Line the part up dry first and check the fit before you commit any adhesive.
- 03Seat it, press it home along its full contact area, and leave it 24 hours before the case is handled.
