How it is built

A mid-size cover, a large cover, four identification bands and a set of three same-code locks. It assumes more than one case, more than one person, and one shared combination that everybody can actually remember.

Suits these shells

Hard shell, polycarbonate
Flexes under load and springs back. Takes surface scuffing more than cracking.
Hard shell, ABS
Stiffer and more brittle than polycarbonate. Corners are the usual failure point.
Soft side, fabric
Absorbs impact but scuffs and tears. Zippers and handles take the strain.
